Methodology

Oscar Auliq

We do more than fund solutions—we help build the ecosystems that sustain them. Through insight, investment, and integrity, we are driving a future where impact and income go hand-in-hand.

At Auliq, our methodology is grounded in a deliberate and disciplined approach that integrates rigorous research, strategic investments, and cross-sector collaboration. As a hybrid social enterprise, we bridge nonprofit purpose and for-profit efficiency—using both philanthropic and investment tools to tackle complex global challenges and drive inclusive growth.

1. Research-Driven Insight

We begin with evidence-based research to identify the most pressing social, environmental, and economic issues. Our analysis focuses on:

  • Market gaps and systemic barriers
  • Underserved populations and geographies
  • Emerging technologies and sustainable solutions
  • Alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG criteria

This foundation enables us to make informed, intentional decisions that prioritize long-term, measurable outcomes over short-term returns.

2. Dual-Capital Investment Strategy

Our hybrid model enables a dual-capital deployment approach, balancing mission and market by:

  • Philanthropic Capital: We provide grants, donations, and catalytic funding to early-stage social innovations, nonprofit programs, and advocacy efforts that need patient support.
  • Impact Investments: We make equity and debt investments in high-growth ventures that offer scalable solutions and measurable social/environmental impact—especially in sectors like green energy, healthcare, education, agriculture, housing, science, and technology for good.

Every investment is screened for both financial viability and social return on investment (SROI).

3. Value-Led Assessment and Due Diligence

We apply a values-based due diligence framework, ensuring that every partner or initiative aligns with our ethical standards and impact goals. Our assessment process evaluates:

  • Mission alignment and community relevance
  • Governance and transparency
  • ESG performance and risk management
  • Scalability and sustainability of impact

4. Partnership and Ecosystem Engagement

We recognize that no single actor can solve global challenges alone. That’s why we prioritize:

  • Cross-sector partnerships with governments, NGOs, corporations, and multilateral institutions
  • Community co-design to ensure relevance, equity, and cultural fit
  • Collaborative financing models that share risk and maximize blended value

These partnerships extend our reach and deepen the effectiveness of our interventions.

5. Continuous Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

We embed a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework into all initiatives to:

  • Track impact and financial performance in real time
  • Adapt strategies based on data and stakeholder feedback
  • Ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement

Results are measured across both quantitative KPIs and qualitative social outcomes, ensuring our commitments translate into real-world progress.

6. Policy Advocacy and Systems Change

Beyond funding and advising, we engage in policy and public discourse to help shape a regulatory and economic environment that supports sustainable development. Our advocacy focuses on:

  • Advancing ESG standards
  • Promoting inclusive financial systems
  • Strengthening social enterprise ecosystems worldwide

Our Guiding Principle

Our methodology is more than a process—it is a philosophy of responsible, inclusive capitalism. We act on the belief that ethical, research-informed, and community-anchored investments are not only good for society—they are the key to long-term economic resilience.
