Caterpillar Marine Division has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant. This position will support our MaK Americas team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with partners across the business, in addition to functional groups across Caterpillar. MaK Americas works with customers to offer unique solutions to fit their business needs.


This position will offer you the opportunity to provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting support to a fast-paced, innovative, and growing organization. This role will encourage you to demonstrate and develop your communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills, along with providing avenues to interact regularly with senior management within Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division and other cross functional groups within the enterprise.


What You Will Do:

  • Review month-end results.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics COE to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Partner with Commercial & Operations to develop and implement SOX and other compliance initiatives.
  • Create reports on financial performance for internal use.
  • Communicate and present to leadership on a regular cadence as part of Monthly Reviews.
  • Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results.
  • Support ongoing Global Financial Initiatives such as implementation of OneStream, Strategy Dashboards and other ongoing projects.

What Skills & Experiences You Will Need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and interpersonal skills
  • PowerBI experience

  • This role is full-time and requires 5 days a week in the office

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
