About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead client engagements, manage an accounting team, and deliver high-quality financial solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

Key duties & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the full accounting cycle for local and multinational clients, ensuring compliance with Greek tax regulations, ELTE requirements, and applicable IFRS/US GAAP standards.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality performance.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in line with Greek accounting standards and international frameworks.
  • Oversee monthly and year-end closings, reconciliations, VAT returns, and other compliance obligations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by delivering value-added financial solutions and proactively addressing needs.
  • Collaborate with audit, tax, legal, and advisory departments to provide integrated support across client portfolios.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes (Greek tax law, Labor Law, ELTE, IAPR guidelines) and guide clients accordingly.
  • Participate in internal projects to enhance processes, digitization, and risk management.
  • Ensure all work is completed within deadlines and meets quality standards.

Requirements

What You Bring

We are looking for a seasoned professional who aligns with our values and demonstrates the following qualifications and competencies:

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least six (6) years of relevant experience in Accounting, including a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a Big Four or top-tier accounting firm is strongly preferred.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration from a recognized university.
  • Professional Certification: CPA, ACCA, or ACA— fully qualified or in the final stages of completion.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epsilon Net, or SoftOne is a plus.
  • Expertise: Solid knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards (ΕΛΠ), IFRS, and local tax regulations. Ability to review and prepare financial statements, corporate tax returns, and VAT filings with accuracy and insight.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken, is essential for client and internal communications.
