Caterpillar has committed to doubling our services revenue by 2026 and we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a team driving toward success in meeting these targets as an Aftermarket New Product Introduction (NPI) Team Leader on our Medium Tractor Products (MTP) team. Reporting to the MTP Worldwide Life Cycle Manager and working closely with the MTP Worldwide NPI manager, you will drive the execution of aftermarket focused MTP NPI projects. In alignment with the Caterpillar service growth strategy, you will be expected to grow our aftermarket Operating Profit After Capital Charge through the development of customer focused solutions across the MTP product line.

What You Will Do:

  • Implement aftermarket new product introduction strategy and deliverables in coordination with MTP LCM. This includes financials, Aftermarket Growth Guide, service parts proliferation, rebuild costs, Reman coverage, and IP portfolio management.
  • Setting the future strategic direction by maintaining a prioritized services growth portfolio that includes an evaluation of benefits vs the costs required to execute.
  • Support NPI integration for MTP Condition Monitoring and technology strategy
  • Partnering with Global Construction & Infrastructure (GCI) and Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) to capture Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Dealer (VOD) around services growth opportunities and ensuring strong go to market alignment on NPI content
  • Lead all aftermarket activities for special projects or aftermarket source changes for NSI
  • Serve as SME for engineering teams regarding part branding, service replaced by, and cancelled replaced by execution.
  • Assist in critical customer support – such as backorders, unlaunched reqs, last time or bridge buys, etc.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Degree/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or progressive experience across a diverse set of areas such as New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering, Aftermarket, Product Support, or Lifecycle Management.
  • Effective Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively across global teams and functions, including engineering, product management, and dealer/customer networks, to ensure alignment on aftermarket NPI content and strategic direction.
  • Problem Solving: Experience resolving complex operational and process challenges such as backorders, unlaunched requirements, and aftermarket source changes, with a focus on customer support and service continuity.
  • Program Management: Ability to lead and manage NPI projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, efficient resource utilization, and successful execution of deliverables including financials, IP portfolio, and service growth targets.
  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Experience contributing to short-term, tactical, and long-term strategic planning efforts, including prioritization of services growth portfolios and integration of customer and dealer feedback into actionable plans.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience supporting our dealers and customers after the point of sale resulting in an understanding of the challenges in maintaining and keeping machines running and capturing VOD and VOC in the process.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply product and service expertise to drive aftermarket growth initiatives, including service parts proliferation, rebuild strategies, and Reman coverage across product lines.
  • Good business acumen with ability to evaluate and prioritize projects based on financial impact.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar’s existing aftermarket commercial offerings or similar field
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across worldwide team in multiple organizations and functions to drive results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to enable the creation of solutions that solve our customers’ most challenging problems.
  • Ability to think strategically to develop future solutions combined with the ability to execute on active projects.

  • Office Model: This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international travel is expected.

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
