AO5 SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Role Title: AO5 Senior Procurement Officer
Location: Cannon Hill
Contract Term: 6 months with possibility of extension
Rate: $68.22/hr + super

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to support the government construction and infrastructure sector in implementing procurement strategies and policies while delivering high standards of service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate procurement strategies and Queensland Procurement Policy requirements to staff, facilitating changes to traditional procurement practices through training and education programs.

• Prepare tenders across categories including construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade projects, ensuring evaluation and regulatory compliance.

• Implement local procurement processes in accordance with Queensland Procurement Policy, contributing to reduced material and subcontractor costs.

• Work effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing, meet performance standards, and support medium and major building contracts.

• Ensure compliance with Queensland Procurement Policy, delegations, and other relevant legislation.

• Provide efficient, high-quality customer service, including coordinating responses to escalated queries.
