API Automation Tester
Location: Auburn Hills - MI – Remote allowed
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
5 -7 years of strong technical skills in API Automation REST ASSURED & POSTMAN DevOPS Pipeline
Experience in API automation Scripting & maintenance & in validating API request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and performance.
Well experienced in Test Strategy, Planning and management in JIRA/qTest /ALM
Roles and Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain API automation test scripts in Postman.
• Create and manage test collections, environments, and variables in Postman.
• Validate API request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and performance.
• Build data-driven test cases and manage parameterized test executions.
• Integrate Postman test suites with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA team to identify test requirements.
• Log defects in tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and work with teams for resolution.
• Contribute to regression automation suites and continuously improve coverage
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$53,477– $92,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
