About the Role
Our client are a world-leading funding scheme that supports and improves the lives of people who live with a disability. They are currently seeking an Economist - Economics and Insights to come in and join their team in Surry Hills NSW on a 12 month contract assignment with potential for extension.
Candidates for this position must have Superior analytical and problem-solving skills applied to understanding complex economic issues and working toward practical solutions. It is also considered highly desirable if you possess A bachelor degree in economics and econometrics, or similar, along with Proficiency with a major statistical software package (R, Python, Stata, SAS).
As an Economist in this role you will be addressing pressing policy issues, contributing to systems design, and improving the functioning of disability supports markets through pricing and economic incentives.

The team examines a range of cross-cutting economic issues in the organisation and broader care sectors using economic analysis, research frameworks, and modelling tools.
The Team applies economic thinking and advanced data analysis to support pricing decisions that maximise participant wellbeing from available resources while preserving Scheme sustainability at the same time.
