APS6 Senior Financial Accountant

Randstad is currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant (APS6) to join a high-performing federal government team.

Non-Ongoing | Canberra , ACT | 12 Months | Baseline Clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly internal and external reporting requirements.
• Manage accounting for non-financial assets, employee benefits, and employee provisions.
• Manage the organisation's administration of tax obligations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial accounting journals, work papers, and reconciliations.
• Assist the Assistant Director in preparing annual consolidated financial statements.
• Undertake other various finance duties commensurate with the skill and capability requirements at this level.

Skills & Capabilities:

• Strong technical skills, including a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyse complex financial data.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in preparing detailed financial reports.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Position Requirements / Qualifications:

• Baseline Clearance.
• Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
