The Role
Your role as the Area Manager will require you to work in partnership with the internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Centre Managers, empowering them to deliver exceptional early childhood education while achieving key business goals.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, teamwork, fairness, achievement, fun at work, and recognition.
  • Use performance management as a process and coaching techniques to help your team achieve required standards and behaviours (e.g. performance reviews, development and engagement plans, disciplinary action and performance improvement plans).
  • Demonstrates safety leadership and culture by re-enforcing safety values and behaviours.
  • Proactively identify and address opportunities to improve the region's operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on regional performance, communicating key metrics to stakeholders as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with leaders and business partners to implement strategies for delivering a high-quality experience for children, families, and staff.


About You

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Diploma or Bachelors of Early Childhood Education OR tertiary qualification in business or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years prior experience in a leadership role (childcare background is preferred, but open to healthcare or aged care with strong compliance background)
  • Multisite or multichannel leadership experience preferred.
  • Passionate belief in the early years care, development and education of children.
  • Strong ethics and genuine approach towards child safety and WHS.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated P&L accountability.
  • Adaptability, flexibility and resilience, is able to respond positively to change.
  • Valid Working with Children check and Current driver's licence.
