Role Overview We are seeking a visionary, dynamic, and imaginative Art Director to lead the creative development and execution of both motion graphics or static artwork for AV marketing campaigns and entertainment marketing campaigns. This role will oversee the creation of localized and original motion content for trailers, promos, and social media, driving visual storytelling through animation and motion design. Additionally, this role will focus on title treatments, key art, and digital platform assets, ensuring visual excellence, brand alignment, and creative innovation across all static deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
· Creative Direction
o Lead the conceptualization and execution of title treatments, key art, and digital platform assets for a wide range of entertainment properties.
o Oversee the development of motion graphics for trailers, promos, and social content.
o Ensure all motion assets and static artwork align with brand guidelines, campaign strategy, and audience sensibilities.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate creative briefs into compelling visual executions.
· Team Leadership
o Manage and mentor a team of motion graphics artists or graphic designers/production artists.
o Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and support throughout the production process.
o Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
· Project Oversight
o Collaborate with producers, editors, and marketing leads to ensure timely delivery of high-quality motion assets.
o Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assets.
o Review and approve creative deliverables at all stages of development.
o Maintain consistency and excellence across all visual outputs.
· Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
o Partner with internal stakeholders, producers, and external vendors to align creative with campaign goals.
o Present concepts and final work to clients and leadership with clarity and confidence.
o Translate feedback into actionable creative solutions.
Requirements
· Creative & Technical Skills
o Strong portfolio showcasing art direction in either motion graphics, static design, or video editing, particularly in entertainment marketing.
o Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Premier.
o Mastery of animation principles such as timing, easing, and motion curves.
o Proficient in using expressions to automate animations and create dynamic effects.
o Skilled in managing complex compositions using pre-comps and nested structures.
o Experience with 3D layers, camera rigging, lighting, and depth of field within After Effects.
o Integration of After Effects with other Adobe tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro for seamless workflows.
o Familiarity with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender) and color grading software (DaVinci Resolve).
o Deep understanding of animation principles, pacing, and visual storytelling.
o Deep understanding of typography, composition, and color theory.
o Familiarity with artwork localization workflows and versioning best practices is a plus.
· Leadership & Communication
o Proven experience leading creative teams and managing cross-functional projects.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills.
o Ability to give and receive feedback constructively and diplomatically.
· Experience
o 7+ years in motion graphics and/or graphic design with at least 3 years in a leadership or art direction role.
o Experience in entertainment, media, or digital marketing preferred.
o Familiarity with creative production pipelines and asset management systems is a plus.
