As an Assistant Accountant, you will assist with the daily accounting functions and financial reporting for the hotel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable and receivable, daily income audit of various financial departments, reconciling financial discrepancies, and supporting the financial team in various tasks to ensure a seamless and efficient accounting operation. Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of accounting functions, including invoice preparation, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring the proper and timely recording of all transactions.
- Manage vendor invoices, ensuring prompt payment processing while fostering positive relationships with suppliers.
- Support the year-end audit process by preparing the necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Oversee the entry of financial data into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all entries.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial information and verify the accuracy of transactions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical standards in all accounting activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a hotel or hospitality accounting environment is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in accounting software.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Fluency in Greek and English is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP ERP.
