Requirements

We are seeking a seasoned and highly driven Assistant General Manager – Finance to join a reputed multi-specialty hospital in Gurgaon. This is a leadership role that requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounts, auditing, taxation, and corporate financeexclusively within the hospital/healthcare industry.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing end-to-end finance operations, especially in areas such as accounts payable, internal and statutory audits, taxation compliance, and financial planning & control. You will work closely with the senior leadership and operational heads to ensure strong financial health, timely reporting, and compliance within the dynamic and regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full spectrum of finance and accounts functions in accordance with healthcare financial standards and statutory regulations.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) processes to ensure timely and accurate payments, vendor reconciliation, and effective cost management.
  • Manage internal controls, audits (internal and external), and ensure robust documentation and audit preparedness.
  • Handle all aspects of taxation including TDS, GST, income tax returns, and ensure strict compliance with all tax laws.
  • Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, MIS reporting, and balance sheet preparation.
  • Collaborate with hospital management on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance and quality of financial operations.
  • Monitor financial risks, implement mitigation controls, and maintain transparency and accountability in all finance-related functions.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities, auditors, banks, and consultants for audits, tax filings, and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital industry-specific financial and statutory norms including healthcare pricing regulations, empanelment requirements, and third-party billing practices.
  • Lead a team of accountants and finance professionals; provide guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 15 years of core finance experience, with at least 5 years in a hospital or healthcare organization at a senior finance level.
  • Strong command over accounts payable, audits, direct and indirect taxation, and hospital-specific finance operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and healthcare regulatory frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial tools (SAP, Oracle, or hospital-specific ERP is preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage large volumes of financial data, and handle audits and compliance independently.
