Role Definition
As an Associate Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in mechanical and hydro investigations and design activities for turbomachinery products. This role involves supporting engineering teams in analysing Shop, Field Issues and failures, developing design improvements, and preparing technical documentation for Solar Turbine Packaging systems. Designing packaging systems and equipment layouts.
Responsibilities
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate knowledge of discipline-related industry standards, including ASME B31.3. Comprehensive knowledge with Creo applications and strong knowledge of design and drafting techniques to include fabrication drawings. Experience with Solar Turbines strongly preferred.
Degree Requirement
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 2-5 years of Turbomachinery Packaging Systems Mechanical Design Good communication, organizational, teaming and analytical skills are a must. Working knowledge of computer aided design & drafting CADD system (Creo) Knowledge of gas turbine operations, and driven equipment Field experience, knowledge on Windchill, BOP & Promis-e would be an added advantage.
