Supports assigned agency business and contributes to the development of brand strategy and account management. Advises and partners with clients by analyzing, solving, and presenting viable integrated solutions to client problems. Identifies and inspires new work streams and solutions that lead to client growth by collaborating with and drawing on the expertise of our team and resources. Champions great creative work and understand the importance of flawless delivery. Independently manage direct reports and agency team throughout project development and implementation.

Responsibilities

Client Partnership & Strategic Leadership

  • Serves as the principal collaborator with marketing and/or medical communications client teams
  • Establishes and maintains strong, service-oriented client relationships based on trust and credibility
  • Guides clients through agency processes, setting clear expectations and delivering strategic counsel
  • Interprets clinical data, competitive landscape, and customer insights to provide high-level strategic and tactical recommendations
  • Represents and defends the agency’s point of view while balancing client needs
  • Anticipates client challenges, proactively offering solutions and opportunities for organic growth

Integrated Campaign & Digital Strategy Execution

  • Leads and executes integrated marketing campaigns, with a focus on digital and social media channels
  • Develops campaign measurement plans and post-campaign performance reports to ensure ROI
  • Writes and delivers clear, actionable briefs to internal teams and external partners
  • Oversees day-to-day cross-functional execution to ensure consistency, quality, and timeliness across deliverables

Data-Driven Insights & Performance Optimization

  • Analyzes market research and performance data in partnership with analytics teams to generate actionable insights
  • Continuously monitors campaign performance and adjusts tactics to drive results
  • Participates in financial oversight including scope tracking, budget compliance, and reporting

Creative Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Ensures creative work is strategically sound, compelling, and error-free
  • Provides critical evaluation of creative output across multiple rounds of development
  • Facilitates brainstorming sessions and workshops to foster collaboration and innovation

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Mentors and supervises junior client service and project management team members
  • Demonstrates strong leadership in managing people, projects, and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Fosters a positive team culture, encourages open dialogue, and resolves conflict constructively
  • Collaborates across departments to ensure alignment with agency capabilities and service offerings
  • Manages up effectively, keeping senior leadership informed and supported

Operational Excellence & Project Delivery

  • Sets and upholds high standards for client service and project management across accounts
  • Tracks and maintains project timelines, ensuring efficient and profitable delivery
  • Anticipates roadblocks and implements solutions to maintain momentum and quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with pharmaceutical clients or with pharmaceutical companies
  • Minimum 6 – 8 years of medical marketing or pharmaceutical advertising agency experience 
  • Well-developed knowledge of business practices and vendor relations in the healthcare space
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects
  • Digitally fluent and analytical (organic, paid, and social media)
  • Attention to detail with exceptional time management and planning capabilities
  • A great storyteller – exceptional oral, written, and visual communications skills
  • Articulate, dynamic, and professional
  • A good listener, someone who can read a room and adapt their style accordingly
  • Understands how to communicate to both patients and healthcare professionals
  • Resourceful, proactive, and curious
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
