As the Associate Director, you will spearhead design initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring cohesive design strategies are executed to enhance the livability and functionality of mixed-use spaces. You will be instrumental in guiding a talented team of designers and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to realize our ambitious plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mixed-use projects, ensuring a seamless integration of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces.
- Mentor and inspire a team of architects and designers, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to define design visions and objectives that meet the functional and aesthetic needs of the community.
- Conduct comprehensive design reviews, providing constructive feedback to refine and enhance project designs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, sustainability requirements, and quality assurance throughout the design process.
- Engage with clients and external partners to present design concepts and incorporate feedback into iterative adjustments.
- Stay attuned to industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in mixed-use development.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to design processes and materials, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience with a strong focus on mixed-use development projects.
- Demonstrated portfolio of innovative mixed-use projects showcasing successful integration of various functions.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of zoning laws, building codes, and sustainable design principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
