Namaskaram!
We are looking for a highly skilled Audio Hardware Engineer to join our team and design and develop advanced audio systems for our next-generation products. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing high-performance audio hardware subsystems—from microphones and speakers to amplifiers and audio codecs.
We’re also proud to share that Lenskart is now our strategic investor, a milestone that reflects the impact, potential, and purpose of the path we’re walking. Join us as we co-create the future of conscious technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, prototype, and validate analog and digital audio circuits, including microphone arrays, speaker drivers, amplifiers, and codecs.
- Schematic design, PCB layout reviews, and bring-up of audio hardware.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and optimization of audio quality, including signal integrity, noise reduction, echo cancellation, and distortion control.
- Evaluate and select audio components (MEMS mics, DACs/ADCs, amps, etc.) based on performance, cost, and power consumption.
- Own the hardware validation and test plan for audio systems using test equipment such as Audio Precision, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to resolve issues related to audio hardware during prototyping and mass production.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in audio hardware design and development.
- Proven experience with audio signal path design, including both analog and digital domains.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
- Experience with electroacoustic testing, tuning, and validation.
- Strong understanding of audio performance metrics (THD+N, SNR, latency, etc.).
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC mitigation techniques and low-noise analog design.
- Experience working on consumer electronics, wearables, or AR/VR products is a strong plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with beamforming, active noise cancellation (ANC), or echo cancellation (AEC).
- Understanding of Bluetooth audio (A2DP, BLE Audio) and relevant audio transmission standards.
- Familiarity with voice assistants and wake-word detection architectures.
- Experience collaborating with DSP and algorithm teams.
