Automation Architect

The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Playwright Automation Test Lead to spearhead our test automation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks using Playwright, ensuring high-quality software delivery across web applications. You will lead a team of automation engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and drive best practices in test automation and quality assurance

• Roles And Responsibilities
  1. Automation Strategy & Framework Development
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Define automation standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects.
  2. Test Planning & Execution
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Ensure thorough test coverage for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  3. Team Leadership & Mentorship
• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to automation standards.
  4. CI/CD Integration
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure smooth test execution and reporting.
  5. Defect Management & Reporting
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
  6. Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with QA, development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Tooling & Innovation
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance automation capabilities.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative testing approaches.

To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Experience in UI Automation Testing Preferably Playwright and Selenium
• Able to develop test scripts in JavaScript Junit
• Experience in JIRA and Jenkins
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organization
• Drive implementation for the program to enhance automation coverage
• Experience in testing APIs especially in microservices product architecture
• Experience in using API Testing tools like Postman Rest Assured etc.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, daily stand-up calls, Iteration planning meetings, retrospection, etc.
• Experience in API Automation Testing preferably Serenity BDD, Rest Assured, PACT, SOAPUI and Postman
• Preferred experience in developing automation frameworks
