Automation Test Analyst

About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Test Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in automated testing, cloud platforms, and data validation. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data and analytics solutions, with a focus on UI and API testing automation. Working in an Agile environment, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes that support business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Conduct UI and API testing with a strong emphasis on automation and performance.
• Validate, verify, and reconcile data across cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines (Databricks preferred).
• Develop and maintain test scripts using object-oriented programming languages (Python preferred).
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and DevOps tools including Terraform, ARM, GitHub, Docker, and Ansible.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure REST API architecture principles are followed.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to SAFe/Agile delivery practices.
• Support continuous integration and deployment processes through scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Perform SQL-based data validation and reporting to ensure data integrity across systems.

Experience & Qualifications

To thrive in this role, your experience and skills should include:

• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of cloud database tools and data ingestion pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with data validation and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of REST API architecture and testing methodologies.
• SAFe/Agile training or experience working in Agile teams.
• A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail in testing and quality assurance.
