About the role

As an Amazon Connect Developer, you will make an impact by designing and implementing intelligent, scalable contact center solutions using Amazon Connect and other AWS services. You will be a valued member of the CX CRM Moment Practice and work collaboratively with product managers, architects, developers, and analysts to deliver innovative cloud-native experiences that transform customer engagement.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement contact center solutions using Amazon Connect.
  • Develop and integrate AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, S3, and LangGraph.
  • Build intelligent workflows leveraging Agentic AI, Generative AI, and prompt engineering techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Python.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and mentoring activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a Cognizant or client office in Plano, TX or Basking Ridge, NJ. What you need to have to be considered:

  • Up to 5 years of software development experience, including hands-on work with Amazon Connect and AWS services.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with:
    • Amazon AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock, S3)
    • LangGraph
    • Amazon Lex
    • Amazon Connect
    • Model Context Protocol (MCP)
    • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
    • Prompt Engineering
  • Experience with contact center development and CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow).
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt new AWS services.
  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud architecture and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

These will help you stand out:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and automation.
  • Knowledge of voice/chat bot development, telephony services, and conversational AI.
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance in contact center environments.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $64,000 – $102,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
