Azure Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Developer with 4 to 5 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure Monitor Azure Key Vault Azure DevOps Databricks SQL Databricks Workflows and PySpark with a strong background in the Airlines domain. This role involves developing and optimizing solutions that enhance our airline operations ensuring seamless integration and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust solutions using Azure Monitor and Azure Key Vault to enhance airline operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure DevOps into existing workflows improving efficiency and productivity.
• Utilize Databricks SQL and Databricks Workflows to design and optimize data processing pipelines ensuring data accuracy and availability.
• Apply PySpark expertise to analyze large datasets providing actionable insights that drive business decisions.
• Ensure seamless integration of new technologies into the airlines existing systems minimizing disruptions and maximizing performance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly maintaining high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies applying them to improve processes and solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Document technical processes and solutions ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
• Participate in agile development processes contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards maintaining data security and privacy. Qualifications
• Possess strong experience in Azure Monitor Azure Key Vault and Azure DevOps demonstrating the ability to develop and implement solutions effectively.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Databricks SQL and Databricks Workflows with a proven track record of optimizing data processing pipelines.
• Exhibit expertise in PySpark with the ability to analyze and interpret large datasets accurately.
• Have a solid understanding of the Airlines domain with experience in developing solutions tailored to industry-specific needs.
• Show capability to work in a hybrid model balancing remote and on-site work efficiently.
• Display excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

The annual salary for this position is between $75-85K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
