We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Backend Developer to join our team for the Xdemand/Xiom project. This role is critical to structuring our core backend code within a well-defined framework and developing robust APIs to support the application side. The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of experience working with backend technologies and a strong foundation in Python-based frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable backend architecture using Python (Django/Flask)
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints to support frontend integrations
- Work with relational databases including MSSQL and PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver seamless application features
- Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and scalability of backend services
- Assist in organizing legacy code into a structured, maintainable format
- Implement data models and storage solutions
- Apply version control and deployment best practices
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in Django and Flask
- Good understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL
- Experience with databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
- Experience or interest in Time Series Analysis
- Certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Database, or Data Warehousing
- Educational background in:
- BS Computer Science
- BS Software Engineering
- BS Artificial Intelligence
