Position Overview

A 1Global billing operations analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of billing transactions related to 1Global’s services, which includes checking invoices, managing rate plans, and potentially corresponding with clients. They work within the company's billing operations, focusing on revenue intake and potentially handling customer inquiries related to billing. Contribute towards the target operating model of invoicing with a high-degree of accuracy guarantee our revenue. Keen eye for detail and are comfortable working with little supervision while coordinating and owning issues to resolution.  


Key Responsibilities

Invoice Accuracy and Completeness: 

Analyzing invoices, ensuring correct charges, and verifying data against rate plans and customer usage.  

Billing Operations: 

Overseeing the billing subsystem, including generating invoices and potentially handling customer inquiries related to billing issues.  

 

Bill Runs: 

Preparing and executing bill runs, which involves generating invoices for a large number of customers, often on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.). 

  

Data Analysis: 

Analyzing billing data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement in billing processes. 

 

Keeping Updated records: 

Ensuring clients' billing accounts are set up correctly and according to their requirements. 

  

Client Communication: 

Potentially corresponding with clients regarding billing inquiries or issues via case management, and AM/SDMs inquiries. 

 

Reporting and Analysis: 

Generating billing reports, analyzing data, and identifying trends or areas for improvement. 

 

Compliance:  

Ensuring compliance with relevant billing regulations and standards.  

 

Other duties as assigned: 

Open to handle non-billing task assigned to Billing Operations team. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Billing Analyst or similar accounting role 
  • Sound knowledge of telecom industry and electronic billing procedures 
  • Excellent Excel skills 
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Commitment to teamwork 
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines 
  • General knowledge of accounting principles
