About the roles
We're currently seeking experienced Building Surveyors to join our client’s established teams in Launceston and Hobart.
Our client’s Tasmanian teams are professional, collaborative, and truly passionate about what they do. These roles are a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career within a supportive environment.
In joining these teams, you’ll play a key role in helping their clients achieve safe and fully compliant buildings. Along with this, you will:
- Support an existing client base with tailored, knowledgeable expertise throughout every step of the process.
- Manage multiple projects from beginning to end, ensuring quality outcomes for clients.
- Conduct regulatory assessments on all types of commercial projects, applying sound technical knowledge and professionalism.
- Handle early phase compliance assessments and reporting throughout all development stages.
- Assess project documentation against the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Act, and Regulations.
- Facilitate the preparation of key documentation, including Certificates of Likely Compliance, Occupancy Permits, and final Certificates.
- Support branch and team growth by assisting, educating, and supporting the development of the local team and overall business.
About You
You’re an experienced Building Surveyor with a practical, collaborative approach, bringing:
- Licensed or nearly licensed as a Building Surveyor. An unlimited license (or the ability to obtain an AMR) is required for the Hobart role.
- Sound knowledge of the current Building Act, Regulations, and the Building Code of Australia (BCA) along with the Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania.
- A Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Building Surveying.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all your work.
- While 5+ years experience (Launceston) or 10+ years experience (Hobart) in a similar role is preferred, all levels of relevant experience will be seriously considered.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels.
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
