About Us

We’re a Colorado-based chemical manufacturing and R&D company focused on botanical extraction and advanced therapeutics. As we expand our capabilities, we are evaluating and validating new markets across several high-potential industries. We’re seeking a contract Business Development / Sales Representative with deep domain knowledge to support our strategic exploration of new commercial opportunities.

About the Role

This is a short-term, project-based role to help our team assess alternative business models and markets. We’re looking for someone who can research, forecast, and model opportunity landscapes—but also has the relationships, credibility, and business acumen to open doors in new verticals.

You’ll focus on one or more target industries and provide actionable insights that inform strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis in assigned domain(s)
  • Identify high-value opportunities for partnerships, sales channels, licensing, or joint ventures
  • Build and test business models and go-to-market strategies
  • Leverage personal/professional networks to access potential partners or customers
  • Provide insights and recommendations to executive team for go/no-go decisions
  • Collaborate with internal R&D and ops to validate feasibility of new business lines
  • Deliver reports and presentations summarizing findings, contacts, and commercial pathways

Target Market Areas

  • Pharmaceuticals – Rx drug development, CDMOs, licensing pathways
  • Wellness / Nutraceuticals / Natural Products – Supplements, DTC brands, health chains
  • Specialty Chemicals – Niche, high-margin chemical markets
  • ISO 17304 Standards – Markets where adherence to this standard is critical

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in business development, sales strategy, or commercialization in one of the above markets
  • Deep knowledge of the regulatory environment, key players, and buying cycles
  • Strong research and modeling skills (TAM/SAM/SOM, segmentation, GTM strategy)
  • Ability to connect with decision-makers and secure exploratory conversations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-directed, results-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Prior startup or consulting experience is a plus

Contract Details

  • Duration: 2–3 months (potential for extension)
  • Structure: Monthly retainer or milestone-based deliverables
  • Scope: Focused exploration of one market area with flexibility in approach
