Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) division is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst.
Role Summary: In this role you will support business partners across CISD with data solutions that support our strategy including delivering timely monthly reporting, building custom dashboards, performing data analysis, and completing ad hoc data requests. What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
Highly proficient using SQL to query data
Build dashboards using Tableau or Power BI
Capture and document customer requirements for requests
Translate business needs into technical solutions and explain technical limitations to non-technical customers
Analyze data sets to identify insights and communicate findings to business partners
Work with cross-functional partners to build solutions
Maintain strong relationships with business partners
What You Have (Core Skills)
Accuracy and attention to detail in data validation and visualization processes; able to review logic between multiple sources to recognize anomalies and recommend corrective action
Effective communication with business partners to understand and clarify requests as well as present to stakeholders
Business data analysis to understand the importance and impact of the various metrics on business decisions
Technical writing/documentation to enable collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team
Top Candidates Will Also Have
SQL and Python experience
Power BI or Tableau experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Analytics/Related field
Knowledge of Caterpillar data sources and access methods
Strong customer focus and awareness of company products and service offerings
Ability to build a dashboard from concept to production independently
Proven track record managing multiple assignments with varied deadlines
Able to collaborate with global team and work successfully in a complex matrix environment
Additional Details
Work location: Peoria, IL or Irving, TX

Travel: 10%
This position requires 5 days per week in the office (M-F)
Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
