McColm & Company is seeking a qualified Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to support the Catholic Chapel community at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. The coordinator will plan, manage, and deliver religious education programs including children's catechesis, youth ministry, sacramental preparation, and adult faith formation for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position will be performed onsite at Grand Forks AFB.

The responsibilities of the Catholic Religious Education Coordinator are as follows:

  • Oversee all Catholic RE programs including First Communion, Confirmation, Reconciliation, VBS, and retreats.
  • Coordinate facility use, secure spaces, and manage supplies.
  • Publish a Catholic RE handbook annually.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers; ensure background checks and child protection training.
  • Collaborate with the Protestant RE Coordinator for joint programs (e.g., Vacation Bible School).
  • Prepare and manage RE budgets and procurement of materials.
  • Attend biweekly chapel staff meetings and Catholic Advisory Council meetings.
  • Submit sacramental records to the Archdiocese for the Military Services.
  • Hold 8 office hours per week.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • One year of relevant experience (military chapel preferred).
  • Catechist certification by Archdiocese for the Military Services (completed upon hire).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must reside within 100 miles of the base and provide own transportation.
  • Must favorably pass federal, state, and installation background checks.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
