ICEYE is looking for an Software Engineer who is experienced in development of cloud systems and data management to build central fleet management and planning tools. 

As a Software Engineer in the HAPS (stratospheric airplane) program you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of various custom pieces of cloud API, user interface and data warehouse systems, as well as assisting in ground and flight testing campaigns. The span SW development needs in an unmanned aircraft like HAPS is very wide on the path to fielding fleets of stratospheric electric airplanes. 

You will be part of a growing and dedicated team facing an exciting challenge. Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing cloud-based software solutions - APIs, user interfaces, data management, data warehouses
  • Building fleet management data intelligence services
  • Analytics to interpret telemetry and third party data sources
  • Understanding operational needs and developing solutions to improve operations
  • Participation in flight test campaigns and in-flight data analysis

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Good programming skills (cloud based software across a range of solutions)
  • Expertise in full stack development across cloud machine interface APIs, user experiences, ideally also deployment and usage of data warehouse tools
  • Co-developing solutions and requirements to improve the toolchain
  • Product-focused and user-focused mindset who is capable of taking a system from initial user need all the way to delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with small teams building complex solutions 
  • Experience in fleet management, full stack engineering or hardware related products is preferred
  • Understanding of various data warehouse systems (Airflow, big data analysis etc)
  • Experience with smart systems that are networked as cloud-linked fleets with telemetry
  • A degree in Software engineering, Informatics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Robotics, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Passion for solving complex problems in a team environment
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and love for aerospace
