Hamar Automation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Director to lead the launching and scaling of our new electric actuator product line. This high-impact role will take ownership of revenue growth through both OEM and end-user channels, while serving as a strategic bridge between our corporate leadership and marketing teams to ensure seamless alignment and market success.

As the Commercial Director, you’ll also oversee customer service and field support coordination, leveraging internal shared service resources to ensure a premium customer experience. This is a rare opportunity to lead from the front in a fast-evolving, innovative segment of industrial automation—helping shape the trajectory of a product line with global potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute the go-to-market sales strategy for Hamar Automation.
    • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing, emphasizing online and direct-to-consumer sales.
    • Identify and develop OEM and end-user opportunities through digital platforms, customer outreach, trade shows, and industry networking.
    • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular performance reporting.
  • Cross Functional Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with the corporate marketing team to guide campaigns, product positioning, and digital content tailored to the target audience.
    • Act as the product line’s commercial advocate during corporate planning and marketing meetings.
    • Coordinate with shared service teams to effectively manage customer service inquiries and field support escalations.
  • Customer Engagement & Support:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Support Field visits, demonstrations, and problem resolution as needed.
    • Ensure a feedback loop from customers to internal teams for continuous product and service improvement.
  • Leadership & Market Development:
    • Represent the product line at industry trade shows, conferences and events.
    • Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer insights to influence product development and positioning.
    • Participate in pricing strategy, promotional planning, and forecasting efforts.

This position is a salary position that may require an employee to travel up to 20 weeks per year once product is established.

This position requires working fixed days from Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

What We're Looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in sales (preferably in a technical or industrial equipment environment).
  • A demonstrated success in selling through both physical and digital channels and to OEM and/or end-user customers is preferred. 
  • Having familiarity with eCommerce tools and strategies for B2B sales is preferred but not required
  • A background in mechanical equipment, engineered products, or industrial sales is preferred. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret general business communication, write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal groups.
