About IPSD
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Job Summary:
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division seeks a Configurator Systems Integration Engineer in Mossville, IL to oversee the design and integration of 13L inline 6 diesel engine systems for Caterpillar machines and other commercial applications. The role includes end-to-end engine system design, manufacturing support, and post-production engineering, all performed in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Projects culminate with on-site support at the Seguin, TX manufacturing facility.
What You Will Do:
Design C13D/2606 L4 complex engine systems including requirements definition, concept development, detailed design work, manufacturing support, and post-production ongoing engineering maintenance.
Ownership of the complete engine system bill of material
Work closely with a cross-functional team of experts in the engine component team, engine application integration team, engine development team, certification team, and software team to successfully take engine projects from concept to complete, assembled engine
Provide engine system level technical leadership for Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Marketing, and Product Support
Additional responsibilities may include continuous product improvement (factory and field), technical problem solving, project timeline management, factory change planning and implementation, and cost reduction

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
