As a Contracts Manager at Vanta, you’ll serve as both architect and operator of the legal systems that power our contracting function. You’ll own and evolve our CLM platform, leverage AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency, and partner cross-functionally to build scalable processes and ensure contracts are efficiently executed, tracked, and managed across the lifecycle. This is a role for someone who thrives in scaling environments — creating structure, implementing automation, and amplifying the impact of the legal team.
The Legal team at Vanta partners across the company to enable secure, scalable growth. We’re collaborative, operationally focused, and deeply embedded in the business — working closely with teams like Sales, RevOps, InfoSec, and G&A to reduce friction, manage risk, and support fast, compliant execution.
Own and continuously improve our CLM system (Ironclad), including workflows, templates, clause libraries, reporting, and integrations.
Partner with RevOps to implement scalable contract intake and triage processes.
Operationalize legal playbooks and fallback positions through systems and tooling to streamline attorney workflows.
Monitor and report on contract lifecycle metrics, turnaround times, and workflow performance, recommending improvements proactively.
Leverage legal tech and AI-enabled tools to enhance the efficiency and scalability of internal legal operations.
Support vendor contracting and procurement workflows in partnership with InfoSec, Finance, and business stakeholders.
3–5 years of experience in legal operations, contracts tooling, or systems design (in-house or consulting).
Strong hands-on experience with CLM platforms (especially Ironclad), including building workflows, automations, and templates.
Familiarity with AI-enabled contract tools (e.g., clause engines, intake bots, summarization assistants), with a focus on implementation or maintenance.
Process-driven and data-literate — able to track and analyze contract metrics to drive operational improvements.
Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset — skilled at translating legal processes into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional teams.
Highly organized, tech-forward, and proactive about identifying and scaling process improvements.
