Are you passionate about climate action and a talented communicator who loves to tell a great story? We’re looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Sustainability Engagement Coordinator to elevate our program's profile and impact across the industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to translate real-world sustainability achievements into compelling content that drives wider adoption and success. You'll be the voice behind our most impactful stories, helping councils and members connect, share, and achieve ambitious climate goals.

Part time social media and communications sustainability officer.

Key Accountabilities:

As our Engagement Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing and growing our program’s visibility and member participation.

  • Take full ownership of our LinkedIn strategy, including content planning, targeted advertising, and stakeholder engagement to grow our presence
  • Develop compelling case studies and short-form member videos that showcase success stories and best practices

  • Create a suite of consistent, shareable communications materials for partner councils to easily promote the program and onboard new members

  • Execute strategic online campaigns across key platforms such as LinkedIn, Fifth Estate, and our Magazine

  • Provide tailored communications and engagement resources to effectively support smaller councils in their program adoption

  • Work closely with the program lead, national coordinator, Marketing Communication Manager, and various council program managers to ensure cohesive messaging

Key requirements:

  • We are looking for a dedicated professional with a flair for communication and a passion for environmental sustainability.
  • Proven experience managing and growing social media channels, particularly LinkedIn
  • Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to produce engaging case studies and persuasive content.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver tailored communications and create consistent, shareable resources.

  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Strong organisational skills to effectively manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (degree level) in sustainability, marketing, environmental management, or a similar field, and/or relevant equivalent experience.

  • Previous professional experience in implementing sustainability programs, business engagement, marketing, campaigns, and/or advocacy.

  • Experience in sustainability and climate action specifically within the commercial property sector (highly desirable)


This role is one day per week for the length of the contract.
