Position Overview: As a Data Architect at Master-Works, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that supports our organization's goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective storage, retrieval, and analysis of data, thus enabling data-driven decision-making.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models, databases, and data warehouses to support business applications and analytics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data.
  • Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Optimize database performance, conduct capacity planning, and monitor system health.
  • Implement data security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop robust data architecture documentation and metadata repositories.
  • Create and manage data pipelines that facilitate data access for analytics and reporting.
  • Lead efforts to modernize the data infrastructure, including integration with cloud-based services.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to data analysts and scientists in utilizing data effectively.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect or in a related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
