Position Overview: As a Data Architect at Master-Works, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that supports our organization's goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective storage, retrieval, and analysis of data, thus enabling data-driven decision-making.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data models, databases, and data warehouses to support business applications and analytics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data.
- Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Optimize database performance, conduct capacity planning, and monitor system health.
- Implement data security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations.
Key Deliverables:
- Develop robust data architecture documentation and metadata repositories.
- Create and manage data pipelines that facilitate data access for analytics and reporting.
- Lead efforts to modernize the data infrastructure, including integration with cloud-based services.
- Provide technical guidance and support to data analysts and scientists in utilizing data effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect or in a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
