Optimiza is looking for a dedicated Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role requires a professional with a strong background in managing and optimizing data center operations, including physical and virtual infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the availability, security, and efficiency of our data center systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage solutions, and networking equipment.
- Monitor system performance and capacity, performing upgrades and scalability assessments as needed.
- Manage effective backup and disaster recovery processes and procedures.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data center systems, implementing best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address service issues and provide a seamless IT experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes in the data center.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data center infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong understanding of server hardware, storage solutions, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in managing backup and recovery systems, as well as disaster recovery planning.
- Knowledge of data center cooling, power management, and physical security practices.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Server+, VMware VCP) are a plus.
