We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with 12 to 16 years of expertise in data mapping, integration, and modeling. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ANSI SQL, data analysis, and proficiency with tools such as IBM InfoSphere Data Architect and ERWin. This hybrid role demands a detail-oriented professional capable of designing and implementing logical and physical data models that support evolving business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling & Architecture
    • Design and maintain comprehensive logical and physical data models.
    • Ensure models are scalable, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
    • Use IBM InfoSphere Data Architect and ERWin for modeling tasks.
  • Data Mapping & Integration
    • Implement data mapping strategies to streamline data flow and enhance system performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align models with business and technical specifications.
  • Data Analysis & SQL Expertise
    • Utilize ANSI SQL for complex data analysis and validation.
    • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Support
    • Provide technical expertise to project teams and stakeholders.
    • Work closely with IT and business teams to resolve data-related issues.
  • Documentation & Optimization
    • Document data modeling processes and methodologies for knowledge sharing.
    • Monitor and optimize data models to improve performance and reduce redundancy.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data modeling and integration.
    • Contribute to the company’s data strategy through insights and recommendations.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until October 1st 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $120K- 130K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
