What will you be bringing to the team?
- Manage and monitor databases and application servers to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the correct functioning of database and application servers.
- Assist developers in database design and optimization.
- Conduct capacity analyses and system evaluations.
- Implement and enforce data integrity control procedures.
- Apply security measures to safeguard databases and servers.
- Provide second-level support for database and application-related issues.
- Prepare technical and management documentation.
- Support developers in optimizing query performance.
- Plan and manage the evolution and upgrades of databases and application servers.
- Supervise system operations and ensure adherence to established methods and procedures.
- Support business continuity by assisting in incident resolution and proactively recommending improvements to enhance reliability and resilience of databases and servers.
- Develop cost-benefit analyses for adopting new technologies.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Master's degree in IT with minimum 13 years of relevant experience (or Bachelor's degree and minimum of 17 years relevant experience).
- Excellent knowledge of relational database systems.
- Strong expertise in SQL.
- Proficient with business intelligence reporting tools.
- Solid knowledge of Linux administration and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Expert in Oracle database administration (version 11g and above).
- Familiarity with Postgres database administration.
- Proficient in WebLogic administration (version 11g and above).
- Knowledgeable in Business Objects administration (BO 3 and 4).
- Strong experience in Atlassian products system administration.
- Skilled in automation, including scripting, continuous integration servers, and configuration management.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, administration skills for both Linux and Windows servers, experience with other middleware and database systems and familiarity with Tomcat administration will be considered as an asset.
- An excellent command of the English language, corresponding to at least level C1 (French will be an advantage).
