The Role:  Database Developer | Las Colinas, TX

We’re looking for a skilled Database Developer to optimize and expand our SQL Server reporting database. You’ll play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability—working closely with our analytics team to turn raw data into meaningful insights that drive smart decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Optimize and maintain SQL Server stored procedures for analytics and reporting
  • Partner with Data Engineering and BI to align databases with reporting needs
  • Optimize SQL for performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Ensure data integrity across source systems and reports
  • Analyze and transform staging data into analytical tables
  • Identify opportunities to refactor legacy code and improve database design
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to stored procedures and data transformation pipelines
  • Collaborate in shaping and refining data architecture strategies

What You Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in SQL Server development, including complex stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning
  • Strong experience with T-SQL and query optimization
  • Deep understanding of relational database design, normalization, and ETL practices
  • Experience working with data from diverse systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, third-party APIs)
  • Proven ability to understand and reverse-engineer existing codebases and data flows
  • Knowledge of source control practices (e.g., Git) in a database development context
  • Exposure to DevOps/DataOps principles
