Datastage ETL Developer

About the role

As a Datastage ETL Developer, you will make an impact by contributing to impactful projects that enhance our company’s purpose and societal impact. You will be a valued member of the healthcare team and work collaboratively with managers and team members.

In this role, you will:

· Develop and maintain ETL processes using IBM Infosphere Datastage to ensure seamless data integration and transformation.

· Design and implement robust data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics needs.

· Utilize SQL and PL/SQL skills to write complex queries and optimize database performance.

· Implement Unix Shell Scripting to automate data processing tasks and improve operational efficiency.

· Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting thorough testing and validation of ETL processes.

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Parsippany, NJ. What you need to have to be considered

· Minimum 6+ years experience working in a consulting or enterprise environment.

· Possess strong experience in External Scheduler and Scheduling Basics to manage data workflows efficiently.

· Demonstrate expertise in SQL and PL/SQL for database management and optimization.

· Have a solid understanding of Unix Shell Scripting for automation and task scheduling.

· Show proficiency in Data Warehousing Concepts to design scalable and efficient data solutions.

· Exhibit knowledge of ETL processes and Data Integration techniques for seamless data flow.

· Experience with IBM Infosphere Datastage is essential for developing and managing ETL solutions.

· Strong experience to handle cloud databases Snowflake, Databricks and Data lakes

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
