We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about building and maintaining robust, scalable infrastructure with a strong emphasis on automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and cloud-based environments.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of Microsoft SQL, hands-on experience with AWS services, and a track record of streamlining infrastructure operations through automation and DevOps best practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across multiple environments.
  • Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backups, high availability, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
  • Automate system monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve environment issues.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed for all DevOps processes and cloud resources.
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement in infrastructure and deployment workflows, and implement automation to reduce manual overhead.
  • Participate in on-call support and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related incidents.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or CircleCI.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, VPN, and security best practices in cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, or DataDog.
  • Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server administration or hybrid cloud environments.
