The position as a Dewatering Technician;
Involved with the water flow management of the mine including pipe laying and poly welding/installation of valves, pressure testing, fencing around areas. Water management of ponds with testing and adding chemicals. Generally a 4 person team.
Poly welding pipe- Large equipment loaded by forklift and transported to job/ unloaded by IT. Pipes cut with chainsaw, smoothed with device and welded together with a hot plate/pressure clamp.
Installations/valves/pumps
Operating equipment- IT, Forklift, truck
Estimated Physical Demand Classification: HEAVY
Ideally you will hold a MR drivers licence.
You will be required to undergo a full Pre employment medical, inclusive of Drug & Alcohol testing
