Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for a strategic and results-oriented Director - Temporary Power to oversee all aspects of temporary power solutions for our diverse range of projects. This pivotal leadership role will involve the planning, execution, and management of temporary power systems to support construction activities and operational needs, ensuring that all projects are powered effectively and sustainably.
As the Director of Temporary Power, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design and implement robust power solutions that meet the requirements of our innovative developments. Your expertise in energy management, regulatory compliance, and project execution will be vital to achieving project goals and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for temporary power supply solutions across multiple projects, ensuring reliability and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead the planning and coordination of temporary power installations, maintaining alignment with project timelines and budgets.
- Oversee the selection and procurement of temporary power equipment, including generators, transformers, and distribution systems.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality services and equipment are provided for project needs.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to design temporary power systems that integrate seamlessly with overall project plans.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with temporary power operations.
- Monitor energy usage and make recommendations for optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare reports on power usage, system performance, and project progress for senior management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in temporary power systems management or related energy projects, with a strong emphasis on construction projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing temporary power supply for large-scale developments
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, energy distribution, and power generation technologies
- Excellent leadership abilities and experience managing teams across various disciplines
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices in energy efficiency
- Proficient in power management software and tools
