As an Electrical Estimator at Primech Building Services, you will be an integral part of our estimating team, responsible for preparing precise and competitive cost estimates for various electrical engineering projects. Your in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our bidding process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical installations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Research and analyse materials, labor, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive quotes.
  • Prepare detailed pricing schedules and ensure all relevant costs are factored into estimates.
  • Utilise estimation software and tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of estimates.
  • Maintain organised records of estimates and contracts for future reference and analysis.
  • Assist in the development of bidding strategies and the presentation of estimates to clients.
  • Identify potential project risks and communicate them effectively to the team.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction or engineering industry.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation processes, and relevant regulations.
  • Experience with estimation software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Full UK driving license, as site visits may be required.
