Responsibilities
- Execute regulatory EMC tests in accordance with test plans and established procedures, including equipment calibration, operational verification, and test setup to ensure repeatability, reproducibility, and quality compliance.
- Set up and verify the functionality of the Unit Under Test (UUT), ensuring accurate PASS/FAIL determinations.
- Troubleshoot test setups and UUT issues as needed.
- Collect and save data, create reports using established processes and tools
- Communicate testing bottlenecks and any anomalies observed during execution.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve lab operations, test procedures, and the overall working environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of testing experience in a high-tech environment.
- Proficient with basic measurement tools and equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn; demonstrates accountability and openness to feedback.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to listen actively and understand diverse perspectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or BS in Physics with electrical courses (Circuit theory, Computer architecture, Radio Frequency), or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment including VNAs, TDRs, spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with EMC compliance testing and mitigation techniques.
- Knowledge of RF principles, EMC design/testing, and global regulatory requirements (USA, Canada, EU; global knowledge is a plus).
- Experience with TILE test automation software.
- Ability to develop EMC test plans, analyze compliance data, write test specifications/procedures, and interpret regulatory standards for Information Technology Equipment (ITE).
- Soldering and troubleshooting experience.
