We’re currently partnering with a vibrant regional health service in Victoria seeking a passionate Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join their growing team.

Set in a picturesque part of regional Victoria this bustling regional centre offers a mix of rural charm and urban convenience. With a population of over 80,000 and situated along a major river, it’s known for its wineries, arts culture, outdoor lifestyle, and short flights to Melbourne and Adelaide. The Health Service:

The hospital plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to a large catchment area across regional Victoria. With more than 1200 staff and an embedded culture of patient-first care, the facility has become a hub for both emergency and specialist services. The Emergency Department:

The ED sees over 33,000 presentations annually and is open 24/7, providing care across all age groups. The unit is supported by a multidisciplinary team, including Emergency Physicians, highly trained nursing staff, and experienced support teams. The department is well-resourced, clinically progressive, and offers opportunities to influence the future direction of emergency care in the region.

About the Role:

As a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you’ll play a central role in delivering high-level clinical care, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to ongoing service improvement and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert emergency care across a wide range of clinical presentations
  • Lead and support junior doctors and nursing staff
  • Foster collaborative relationships across departments for seamless patient care
  • Engage in audits, education, and quality improvement activities
  • Contribute to policy development and uphold clinical governance standards

Who We’re Looking For:

  • FACEM or equivalent specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable emergency setting
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement
  • Leadership capabilities in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong interest in teaching and mentorship
