Resource Innovations is seeking an Outreach Lead to join our growing team in Chandler, Arizona. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Outreach Lead with a strong background in commercial lighting, HVAC, and building mechanical systems to join our dynamic team. As an Outreach Lead you will help recruit, onboard, train and maintain relationships with qualified service providers including installation contractors and engineering/controls vendors. You will participate in program events and support other program marketing and outreach initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses the right mix of leadership, sales skills, technical ability, program expertise, and interpersonal skills to succeed in this position. In this role, you will provide support for an existing outreach team supporting energy efficiency programs for commercial customers to promote the program, engage qualified service providers, drive participation, and maximize energy savings to achieve program goals. In addition to providing guidance and support to the outreach team, this role will look for opportunities to balance workload and identify underrepresented areas or customer segments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the outreach plan to achieve program results and objectives
  • Provides education and technical assistance to lighting, HVAC, mechanical, controls, and engineering vendors to encourage participation in utility sponsored energy efficiency incentive programs.   
  • Communicates key objectives, strategies, and priorities to a variety of stakeholders and contributors (program management, software, outreach, data analysis, customer service, and partner teams).  
  • Develops, manages, and fosters partnerships and relationships with local organizations, associations, subcontractors, community groups, and other industry affiliates/stakeholders that serve our key client populations.   
  • Provides excellent customer service to clients, end-use utility customers, vendors, delivery team members, and industry partners.
  • Represent Utility and program at local events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Located in the greater Phoenix, AZ area
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience with energy-efficiency
  • Excellent project management, organizational, planning, budgeting, and people-management skills.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and self-direct your work.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.  
  • Strong customer relationship, networking and sales skills.  
  • A strong understanding of energy efficiency programs and/or utility/skilled trade industry.  
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with public speaking/presentations
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preffered.
