ABOUT THE ROLE

To support our growth, we are seeking a Network Operations Engineer to design, implement, maintain, audit, and support our growing network infrastructure. This includes installations at renewable energy production plants as well as our cloud-based datacenters. You will be part of a team focused on delivering secure, maintainable, and highly available network architectures aligned with business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve network outages across remote sites
  • Conduct expert-level root cause analysis and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Review client topology diagrams and design concepts to ensure best practices
  • Draft and maintain service documentation and operational processes
  • Operate within established configuration and change management policies and tools
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive automation for repetitive tasks
  • Collaborate with system engineers to plan, design, and optimize business services

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

You’re effective at managing multiple tasks, perform well under pressure, and are passionate about learning and growth. We’re looking for someone with the following toolbox:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer
  • Solid understanding of the TCP/IP model and key internet protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization schemes
  • In-depth knowledge of network security, IP routing, and VPN technologies (SSL VPN, IPSec, OpenVPN)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Series and HP Aruba switches
  • Experience with Fortigate and Cisco firewalls and routers
  • Clear and patient communicator, able to interface directly with clients in English
  • Network/security certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper) are preferred
  • Experience with Linux environments is considered an asset
