- Responsible to the VP of Integrated Solutions Group for engineering standardization, process improvement, and engineering workforce development
- Support multidisciplinary engineering across KIHOMAC, including mechanical, structural, electrical, software and systems engineering
- Work with the Director of Program Management to ensure the KIHOMAC engineering infrastructure supports program execution needs and goals
- Participate in an engineering council consisting of the lead engineer from each of the KIHOMAC business units to allocate the development of practices and processes
- Identify and lead the implementation of engineering best practices
- Support engineering inputs to company critical certifications and audits, to include AS9100, Nadcap, CMMI, and CMMC
- Provide technical recommendations to program and business leaders on program execution and research & development projects
- Consult on engineering qualifications for new hires as requested by hiring managers, participate in the hiring process and interviews as required
- Manage team resource allocation, task distribution, and planning to support current and forecasted programs
- Ensure the engineering team contributes to business development requirements, providing timely, quality inputsMake recommendations on the rotation or assignment of engineers across the company

Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required
- Master’s Degree preferred
Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
