Master-Works is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our talented engineering team. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of engineering projects while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will be responsible for mentoring team members, managing performance, and ensuring project timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong technical foundation.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Proven success working in startups and fast-paced product-driven environments.
- Expertise in executing complex projects across multiple teams with a focus on quality and timelines.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Adept at identifying and mitigating project risks, removing blockers, and handling escalations effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring alignment across product, design, QA, and leadership teams.
- Passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and delivering scalable solutions.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role, with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
- Proven experience in managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong technical background in software development methodologies and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and drive initiatives from conception to completion.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Exposure to the AI/ML product lifecycle, with an understanding of model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices for streamlined and automated deployments.
