Role Definition
Manages engineering team for Electrical design and development of technologies, components, systems, products, or services for genset application for Global Solutions Engineering.
Responsibilities
Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders. Lead the design and development of complete electrical architecture of genset, ensuring compliance with Caterpillar’s engineering standards and regional regulations. Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization. Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality. Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget. Collaborate directly with global teams across the regions to align design requirements and project goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in electrical panel design, preferably for gensets or similar electrical systems. Proven knowledge in CAT standard, EDS release process is an added advantage. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a global engineering environment.
