Are you an experienced Engineering Manager ready to take the lead on impactful projects? They have an exclusive opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a well-established engineering and construction firm that has been delivering critical environmental infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand for over 40 years.

They specialise in the design, construction, and commissioning of essential infrastructure, particularly in the wastewater treatment and water sectors. Their team is made up of highly skilled professionals, and they're looking for a capable leader to expand their team and drive key projects.

The Role: Project Engineering Manager

Based in South Australia, you'll take ownership of multidisciplinary projects from start to finish. This is a full-time, permanent position where you'll be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, design coordination, construction supervision, and financial control.

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll manage a technically strong and collaborative team, playing a crucial role in delivering sustainable community infrastructure. You'll also work closely with their leadership team to develop project plans, goals, and budgets, ensuring all objectives are met.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading and delivering water and wastewater projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance.

  • Coordinating engineering design, regulatory approvals, and subcontractor engagement.

  • Conducting site visits and managing stakeholder relationships.

  • Identifying and mitigating project risks and overseeing contract administration.

  • Fostering a strong culture of safety and technical excellence.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • A minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience in delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects.

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Process, or Mechanical), Construction Management, or Project Management.

  • A proven track record of managing projects up to $20 million in value.

  • A strong understanding of Australian standards, environmental compliance, and WHS legislation.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and commercial skills.

  • The ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and competing priorities.

You should also have a proactive problem-solving mindset, practical field experience, and a commitment to long-term project outcomes. Experience with project management tools like MS Project, Aconex, or Primavera is also highly desirable.
