Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more of these programming languages: Go, C++, Java.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with distributed compute environments, software development, big data analytics, cloud computing including virtualization, hosted services, multi tenant cloud infrastructures, storage systems or content delivery networks.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

In this role, you will build and manage planet-scale account data systems to ensure unique identification, privacy and high availability for all Google services. You will address tomorrow's issues including scaling beyond 500M+ QPS, new user experiences and future compliance needs, while collaborating with global teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own the Data Access strategy for all Google User Accounts and its outcomes.
  • Lead and Manage a team software engineers, ensuring high productivity on impactful projects, and coaching them to meet their career goals.
  • Collaborate with UTLs, TLs, Managers, Directors and cross-functional partners to develop a goal and multi-year plan, ensuring the User Account Platform's readiness for the next decade.
  • Represent the User Accounts team in a highly visible role, building strong relationships with Core Experience, IDP Credentials, Cloud and Workspace teams to scale to their needs while meeting efficiency, safety, compliance and reliability requirements.
